Apple MacBook Pro A1990 / Board 820-01041-A / Stuck at 20V 0.05amps

Hi there,

We have a new Apple Macbook Pro A1990 which does not power up, no fans, no chime and black screen. We tested USB C port and the results are below:

1. when the board on Apple MacBook Pro connected to the battery --> 20v 0.05amps. Amps goes up to 0.60-0.70 and loops back to 0amps and again again.
2. when board directly connect to the charging cable --> 20v 0.05amps

In this situation where we should start from to test and measure voltage. Does it look like firmware corruption T2 level or looks like to certain chips/elements shorted?

Please advise. Thank you.

Regards,
Zack

If you have steady SLPS2R and AWAKE voltages, machine should enter DFU.
You may need to force it (wire method).

We can enter DFU mode, but Apple Configurator reviving stuck for about 10 minutes and then shows an error.

Many times revive doesn't help.
Data is probably lost anyway, but first confirm with customer if you can erase the SSD.
Then try restore.
