Hello,

We have an Apple MacBook Pro Model A1990 with a 820-01041-A Board that has received water damage to the Battery connector of the corpus, the Board its self is clean. The Board uses 5.13v .03a before dropping to zero amps and continuing to loop in that way. We checked under a thermal camera and noticed that only 2 elements are showing very slight thermal signs, U3200 and U7000.

I have attached a couple of Photos for you to take a look at of where the water damage is, please take a look and advise us on what our first step to approaching this case should be.

Regards,
Zeydulla.

We found out that the PPBUS_G3H line has a short, we decided to try voltage injection. We injected 1v we get about .5a but could not see anything under our thermal camera, we then raised the v to 2 and got about 1.0a but still were not able to find the culprit.

Could you advise on how we could spot the element that is causing this short?

We saw the gpu heat up during injection, is it an internal short inside the gpu or could something else be causing this?

We were using 1.9v.
