iMac does not boot

2009 iMac no prior damage, loading bar fills half way, then horizontal line flashes on top of screen and then reboots. Only boots in safe mode, so we think it is the video card?? Anyone have any other ideas??

Do you see those lines when you just turn on the iMac or you see the apple logo?

When I see the Apple logo then I see lines. There are also lines around mouse pointer too.

It seems something related to heat, did you try changing the termal paste and cleaning the heat pipe, fans and check if they are good?
I would try with that first

Certainly GPU failure. Probably got the 9051 ATi chip which are hard to find because most are remarked fakes.
