iPhone 6 weird no touch issue

Hi

i have an ip6 that came in with a wrecked lcd. after changing it everything ran smoothly, the customer came back after a week or so saying the touch has problems. it appears to be working completely fine, but if you lock and then unlock the phone is stops working. locking and unlocking it again makes it work fine, lock and unlock it stops working and so on. it also stops working on its own after using it a bit. lock and unlock solves it. I tried changing the lcd from a known good one, updated it to the last os and did a restore trough itunes but the issue continues. there is no known liquid damage and the water indicators stickers inside are all ok. Frame is not bent.

thank you for your help guys

That is a classic presentation of touch disease on an iPhone 6. In the 6, touch disease is about 10-fold less common than on the iPhone 6plus and it is not associated with the gray bars and M1 separation that defines the fault in the 6plus. For the iPhone 6, the fault is less clear, but can be resolved by replacing meson (rarely also cumulus). Many of these are exacerbated by faults within the LCD as well. Aftermarket LCDs in particular have a different composition for touch function and are sometimes less sensitive to touch. When doing rule #1, you might want to keep an OEM native Apple housing and screen to make sure that you have a board problem.
