The 2013/2014 and 2015 Retina LCDs look identical. Is there a way to find a part number on the screen to figure out which is which? Need a 2013/2014 tester but don't wanna grab a 2015 by mistake. (I'm taking them from a recycled parts bin.
2015 will work on a 2014 there will just be no brightness control. 2014 on a 2015 will not work. Only way to tell for sure is taking off the hinge cover and wifi antenna and look at the LCD board.
Yes, but you shouldn't really mess with that if it is a good LCD, one mistake and it is dead. Just have a 2015 board and plug in the LCDs and see if they work.
