Macbook A1707 820-00928 Random Shut Down Post Repair

History: The computer will not power on. Not charging. The USB-C ports pull 5V but do not go up to 20v like they should.

After looking at the board it was determined U2800 was dead. The thunderbolt IC was replaced from donor and the system is functioning as intended. System boosts to 20V on all 4 ports and the battery charges. Customer picked up the machine and it has been working as intended until recently where it has begun randomly turning off completely. When the Apple Diagnostics is run he says there is a message about SMC.

Does this mean the SMC needs replaced or just something is wrong with that circuit? Are the thunderbolt chip and SMC from the donor board bound together in anyway that they both need to be switched over as a pair?
Any tips on where to look would be greatly appreciated.

Attached is the system log file


Here is a description of device us by the customer

4/11 reseated battery connection, high fans and boot loop leading to “your computer has restarted because of a problem”, boot looped 2x, ran diag received ppt001 and ref pfm001, attempted restart, high fans stayed and had to force shutdown, reset smc controller then computer booted as it should, created problem report and have available for export. Used for 35 minutes on safari no issue

4/12 used for approx. 1 hr intermittently light use of safari/word no issue, only used on battery power and device went idle several times and was able to wake back up with no issue

4/13 used device for approx 3 hrs no issue while charging via 100 watt anker block and anker cord

4/14-16 no issue with normal use, device drained to 10% battery and recharged to 100 %with no issue during this period
