Hello,
I have a Macbook Pro that came in for no touch bar.
The board had corosion but no shorts.
Cleaned up the board and put it back.

Checked with another chasis to confirm that it is a faulty touch bar issue.

But the machine as a weird problem with the sleep sensor. If we put the flap down, the light doesnt go off. And then if we put the flap back up the machine hangs - the cursor moves and presses but the apps are unresponsive.

I bet you have corroded lid angle sensors.
Check JR200/1 and UR200 signals.

If you need to replace any, watch this:

Checked with just the board on the table.

AMR_RIGHT_OR_ND_1V8 IS 0.9V
AMR_LEFT_OR_ND_1V8
IPD_LID_OPEN_R_1V8 IS 1.8V

Its just the raw board that i am testing. The Audio board and flex isn’t connected. The above readings are of the main board.

Something pulls down the signal.
May have corrosion under JR900, UR200, or M1 chip.

Try forcing the signal with 100-10K, instead of 1M (in place of RR201).

Amazing !! Its working fine now. Even the touchbar is back on. This is crazyyyyy.
I exactly having the same problem. No touch bar, no light no touch function working. (confirmed the top case and touchbar is good). When going to sleep become freeze and the display is still turning on. So what exactly you have done to fix yours? really appreciate if you have the time to explain it. Thank you
