I have that machine which looks clean.
Trackpad works but keyboard doesn't.
I've inspected the internals and trackpad as well as cables connectors look fine.
A few spots on the cable where tiny stones or debris have left marks so thinking it's worth trying swapping that cable first but I don't have one yet in stock.
I see no signs of liquid so far but I haven't pealed off the motherboard shield.
I have already ordered a new trackpad + cable and I am waiting for delivery.
In the meantime, I was wondering if I can assume that the trackpad is also the brain of the keyboard, like with previous models or it is managed on the MB?
