Q7261 on the 3115 is a good 50% larger; I don't think the terminals will reach.

Hmmm, it must of course be physically the same size. Go over the 3115 board to see if any FETs are the same size, then check if it is an N-channel. It is not a critical part, it acts only as a switch.
