Do you mean A2179 instead?
That one has T2, yes.
And suffers by liquid spill on audio board.
Remove the board and check it for corrosion, as the audio flex too.

Hi sorry yes you are correct

Have changed audio board if you mean the board which has the jack socket on it

I havent changed the 2 flex cables yet

When i put replacement board in still no volume

But unsure if speakers are working

If i put headphones in can hear sound

the audio board looked clean and with just swapping it over with a replacement didnt make a difference

Will check cable

Is there any known issue on the main board of these

Hi
Do you happen to know where the protection circuitry is on this

As this morning i have no power
when i plug into my usb tester is only staying at 5v not switching and not pulling any amps

I wonder if a fuse has failed

Also strange thing on the other 1 i have that works even with that audio board you talk about missing plays the start up tune

Hi i will do that
But was powering up and everything yesterday but today doesnt power up at all
and only shows 5v on usb tester so must have a failure on something
So from working but no sound to not working

so needs to get power back first

Hi

Will do a test tomorrow i have a feeling someone removed a connector or something on audio board and left battery connected

according to repair wiki PPBUS_G3H should be 12.6v

Compare diode mode readings on J6100 with good board.
Very low readings on T2 data lines, may point to damaged T2.
