Hi, i just wanted to know if its normal for a MacBook to shut down in log in screen when firevault encryption is enabled (not even trying to log in just resting on the log in screen).

I tested this with two different MacBook air and 3 different SSD´s (1 external). The fan will ramp up over time (macs not even getting hot) and after a few minutes they would just shut down, no kernel panic or anything just no power.

Remember to post 820-xxxxx in the title.

Any history available?
Is the battery in good working condition?
Can you enter macOS?

Start in Diagnostic mode (AHT), or run ASD (for machine before 2015); lets see if any error pops up.

If Fire Vault is enabled, this behavior may be normal; just test in other machine.
MacOS can't load any driver yet (SSD encrypted before typing the password).
