try these...

run ASD by press hold D or Option-D. cant remember which to see what sensors are failing.

try remove airport card or ssd. try run using external osx drive.

different trackpad.

run memtest86

check if the main voltages are stable.

if is a refurb ebay mac then there is a high chance..its probably a liquid damage board. check for corrosion or any rework area.

point0001cents post a separate reply than replying to individual posts because people dont get notifications on those

And because most of the stuff on ebay if it's been worked on is the shit other people couldnt fix ebay is fine as long as you get machines that have not been worked on

As someone has just taken your money for a pile of shit and felt no way about it....
Replace everything that works with parts from your shit pile and send it back. You are untouchable as a buyer. Maybe they'll think before selling a pile of shit again......

We had a customers machine in with same freezing issue and thought it was RAM.
It would start in safe mode fine.

When we put the board on another screen the freezing went away. No idea why, EDID maybe?... Who knows but it started working.
We put the shit screen back on there and the freeze was back. After going back and forth with new and old screen we sent it out with a new screen and it never came back.

Anyone know why or want to guess?
