SMC programming

Do we have any news regarding how to read/program an SMC?

I remember when I was using my old hackintosh back in 2007 (I think) we had that guy Netkas who was a Guru and was able to simulate an SMC.
I bet he did some reverse engineering to achieve that.

Now, since it has been a long time, no one has yet come up with a solution to read that chip?

There is no way to read the firmware out of the SMC or to update it as of now.

I think you mean the hackintosh tool called FakeSMC, but I think thats reverse engineered through OS X and not by the hardware of the SMC itself

You can't read an SMC and never will be able to. Can only force update a donor SMC with different firmware. All too much fuckery so get the correct donor SMC.
