[SOLVED]820-00138 No Sound

This board is working normally except it has no sound. System Presences says no audio device. U6200 is producing 4.5V. There is 3.3V coming through L6201. Any idea where to look next?

Any history of the board ? Liquid etc ?

Have you tried known good OSX image as a starting point ?

Yes, liquid damage. Nothing major but there was some slight damage in the audio area. Ultrasonic-only fix up to this point. I tried multiple OS test systems. No change.

Might still be corrosion under u6201, bad chip, or broken/corroded HDA line back to PCH.

Usually corroded trace around U6201. Also check resistors in the HDA lines to the PCH.

Thanks for the tips. Had a short on PD_CS4208_GPIO1 line from pin 2 of R6323 to U6201. I'm going to replace U6201 and see if that fixes the problem. The short is gone with it removed so I think we're going in the right direction.
