just need some confirmation that my brain is working correctly here please.
U7090 had very minor liquid damaged. Cleaned and still can't get ppbus_g3h. So no light on charger. After repairing u7090 the charger is very dim for a second only.
So I tested for shorts on ppbus g3h. Can't find any.
Have traced it back to u7100, CHGR_CSO_P and CHGR_CSO_N are non existent.

So I have come to the conclusion that U7100 is dead. Have I missed any checks? Thanks.

PPBUS has nothing to do with the green light. Only PP3V42. Bad IO board/cable are more likely when 3V42 is present.

I swear to god no matter how hard or how long I've been trying I cannot make sense of bloody schematics. It's drives me crazy. Great with hands fkn dumb dumb in my head. Really really wish I was in the states and could go sit with Louis or Jessa for however bloody long it takes..

Anyway can I ask this then. At L7095 or even C7095 I should be able to find me PP3V42. But I can't. I see 1.2v only.

U7090 is getting 16v on pin 6 VIN.
D7005 is showing 16v pin 2 and pin 3. Pin 1 is under 1v but that's because there is no battery??? (Praying I read that right)..

so what im asking is could U7090 be the culprit then?

If there is only 1.2V on L7095 then there are 2 options. There is a low resistance/short on PP3V42 bus or U7090 is dead. The short is the most common, what is resistance to GND on PP3V42?

PP3V42 shows 0.327
L7095 shows 0.327 both sides

U7090 is dead then? It was the only water damaged part I could find anyway

ok so I measured in ohms on the multimeter, 0.588 pp3v42

is that a correct way to measure? I'm not sure if I have the range set correctly either

0.588 Ohm seems unlikely as the diode mode measurement is usually lower in that case. Get some resistors of a known value and learn how a multimeter works.
