[SOLVED] 820-00165 Shuts down at about 20% of progress bar. Was working fine.

Any idea where to start with this? It happens only when booting. So it's loading something and shutting down at that same point each time. Was working for about 2 months. Onboard Apple diagnostic says there's nothing wrong. Not sure where to go with this. It was a spill. Unfortunately, no pictures and no signs of where the damage is.

Usually corrosion around CPU Vcore regulators. U1950 pin 8?

You nailed this one. C7319 was beat up and barely making a connection. It worked for a while then failed. I replaced it along with a couple other ugly capacitors around it and it's back up and running. Thanks.

The board would work fine without C7319, just a bypass cap among many others. So the board working again is something else...

Ok, good to know. Maybe one of the capacitors around it then. Not sure. It was solidly not working until I replaced those 4 capacitors and now it is solidly working. Hopefully it holds up.
