[SOLVED]820-2838 Won't turn on from Keyboard.

Pin 5 to power pad = 0.99k.
Pin 5 to 3v42 rail = 9.35k.

Well then it must work of the keyboard/connector is ok. Manually short pin 5 to GND and see if it powers on.

Hi Dukefawks.

It turns on when I short the pins on the Jack... so I went and got a third keyboard from a guy across town and it turns on.

Seems the replacement keyboard had a faulty power button too. 8|

Make sure it has the 2010 layout, the F keys have a different layout on 2010 keyboards.

After you said that, I looked at the keyboard closer and the R & E keys were swapped around!! Brand new and the keys were wrong!

Need to get this thing off my desk, it's cursed. :/

F keys are correct? The 2010 models are without backlight and still have the eject key. Usually you get the newer layout with backlight keys and no eject key.

Yeh, the function keys are correct.
I noticed that there was no backlight which lead me to notice the keyboard was different.
