[SOLVED]820-2936-b - corrupted SPI chip

just receive a clean board, no visable liquid damage.

its power onto a black screen with backlight. no folder and no chime.
all power rails are present,
one beep if no ram is installed.

so I swap the SPI chip and replaced one from a donor. now it chimes, can boot to OSX.



how do I fix it and should i use the same rom chip when restore??

where can i learn this? is it same as removing a lock code, like copying ME region to a good spi rom?

Copied your ME region 0x0 to 0x180000 to a known good file and copied your override file with serial number info at 0x6fa000 to 0x6fc000.
No idea where you learn this. Use goole and start experimenting. No one told me how to do this.....

the file didn't work. do I need to perform a pram reset, i've tried two chips.

let me have a go at it.

your rom, it didn't give me chime, just black screen.

i then put the (untouched rom) donor board chip and is working,

do it for me duke, now I'm stuck,

I've found me region but don't know where to end. i had a look on ghostly hack but it didn't make any sense to me.

it's working, serial no. was unavailable. then i used Blank Board Serializer.


passed all ASD test.
