[SOLVED]820-3437-B After water damage clean doesnt switch on from Power Button

Hi,

Board had a slight water damage. Cleaned it in utrasonic. Evertything seems to be working except for switching it on with power button (the button works). To turn it on I have to disconnect battery and MAgsafe adapter. When reconnect magsafe it turns on again and works normally. If I shut it down I can switch it on again with power button. I have to reconnect magsafe. If I press power button the light on magsafe goes to green and then back to orange (like during smc reset) but macbook doesnt switch on. If I press power button while OS is ON it immediately switches macbook OFF. I wonder what can it be... hmmm. Please help.

Short inside of the keyboard's ground to PP3V42_G3H most likely

Monitor the voltage of PP3V42_G3H when pressing the button, it shouldn't fluctuate more then 0.02v at best.

So the power button is causing an SMC reset. This will be either a trackpad issue or the trackpad cable/connector. My bet is the trackpad.

Halleluja! Gave a trackpad connector another manual clean and replaced a cable and voilà! power button is working like a power button again instead of CMS button
