These boards are my worst repair rate. I just don't understand them for some reason.

PPBus_G3H = 8.20
PP3v42_G3H = 3.422
SMC_ONOFF_L = 3.418

Everything else is 0v. No PP5v_S5 and onwards.

Every now and then when taking measurements it spins the fan for a second then stops again. It has a green light initially, but I think the adapter is just remembering that it had a green light when it was plugged in before. Once it goes out, I can't get it back till I plug it into a working laptop again.

If I push the diagnostic / debug port, the board boots up. :/

Let go of the port, it switches off.

Just noticed the MagSafe light keeps going from Orange to green as I touch the board.

I measured on U5110::5.

It's low then goes high when I press the diagnostics port. A few moments later it starts up.

How do I fix this?

Replaced R5110, ran a jumper from Pin 1(corroded away) to PP3v42_G3H and boom.
She's happy again.

Mark solved please.

Louis, would you mind expanding on the issue with the MXL chip? Does that particular SPI ROM chip cause power-related issues or something?
