[SOLVED]820-3437 macbook air missing half the led backlight

So I have a 3437 board that i replaced the led driver on, and now i have backlight, but only half the backlight is working, one half of the screen is normal brightness but the other half is darker, is this a bad led strip or did i solder on the chip incorrectly

Ill go for a bad soldering if the display assembly is a known good, also measure led return resistors...

ill solder on a different chip when i get home i have no idea if the displays good or not and dont have a test screen, thank you

Measure all LED return lines on diode mode. Could also be a bad trace or resistor in those lines. Or a bad connector/cable/LCD

okay so now i put a new chip on, and the backlight is flickering, still only the half of the screen though

all resistors reading under 1 ohm, all measurements were done with the cable plugged in

The return lines read open so it is either a bad trace/bad resistor or badly soldered LP8550. All return lines should read the same on diode mode.

for some reason im thinking not all the balls on the chip melted, cuz i fluxed it up and just heated the hell out of it and it kind flowed a little bit into place, now its working fine, thanks for the help guys
