[SOLVED]Is there a problem reading 2015 Retina 13" Pro SPI ROM chips?

I can't get my reader to recognize it. I've had no problems with any other models. Is there something special about these? 820-4924 board.

Nothing special besides that they are able to run in quad SPI mode. I have no issue with the TL866

Ok, thanks. Do you know of any how-to guides for the TL866? I've had one sitting here forever but am still doing the PI method.

No idea, you don't need a guide to use the TL866. Have you even tried?

No time to sit and fiddle with it. Not worth it for me. Don't do enough with BIOS reprogramming. Maybe one day.

Takes 10 minutes....this thing is all auto detect.

Ok, I will. It's hard to stop using what works but is clumsy (PI) but I'll give it a look. Thanks for the input.

As far as this post, you can close it. I removed the chip and read it fine. Not fully sure why - I have some guesses - but I'm not going to worry about it too much.
