    01949 No Power

Found a short on PP3V3_G3H_VDDMAIN Inside the U7800 chip (tested with multimeter on its pins).. I don't have a donor board for this unfortunately, are any other boards' calpe chips compatible?

    01949 No Power

Am struggling a little today with this board and need some clearheaded suggestions; had a couple in a row and can't think straight:) Board might have had some work done on it, but i think i spotted all the mistakes (some coils of PMIC were taken off, but so far i don't know why, nothing else...

00928, trying to save some time

OK i cleaned and rechecked all my work, apart from a tiny bit of adding solder to R3078 pin 1 which seemed loose, didn't do anything, and of course Now everything works. Knew my CD3215s were good!

00928, trying to save some time

OK after looking at all LDOs, CC lines (and seeing nothing off) I decided to also replace the other 3 CD3215s since i had a fully working donorboard with 4, and i wanted to take a shortcut i guess: My results now at the different ports: UB300 5V 0.3A, bootlooping, all LDOs high UB400 5V 0.0A...

00928, trying to save some time

Long time no speak, how are you Vali? took some vacation? Have a 820-00928 here that came in for no power/5V on all ports Saw a blown diode at DB504, which helped me suspect UB300 (also, it lit up under thermalcam) : replaced UB300 with a good CD3215. Now my results are as follows, when...

    820-01521 20v, no boot

Yeah I’m pretty sure my resistance measurement was correct and was surprised it took that high voltage to get to about 1amps.. My psu might not be very accurate. damn I don’t like no-fixes

    820-01521 20v, no boot

Jesus.. im sorry, my bench-mat was still hot from work i did earlier, so the heat around U2800 was coming from that. I was using shit-wires before, changed those, I injected about 2.8v maximum, it was taking about 1A and only the PCH-side of the CPU is getting hot..

    820-01521 20v, no boot

diode mode readings on the entire J6100 all look perfectly normal (i used openboarddata for reference, all datalines match up with those readings) Tying FORCE_DFU to 1V8_SLPS2R didn't change anything by the way. I realised i didnt completely finish diagnosing correctly yesterday, probably was...

    820-01521 20v, no boot

Need a little help, if you don't mind. This board was liquid damaged, but very minorly: the audio board looks like it took a hit on it's audio amp chip. the main board looks pretty good, with just some minor spots around U7290 and Q7291, replaced the whole area, controller, buck and affected...

    02020 w 12.00V on PPBUS_AON

OK so it definitively charges the battery. Customer wants it back now, so this one is going. The board is working, but i don't understand how PPBUS can be 12.00V without the battery...

    02020 w 12.00V on PPBUS_AON

pfff battery is at 100% right now, so no charging is going on. will have to drain the battery a bit to see if its charging, will get back here. so far, everything seems to be working normally, just that low ppbus voltage is bothering me

    02020 w 12.00V on PPBUS_AON

Need a clear mind on this, been spending way too much time on this board PPBUS_AON on this board measures 12.00V I thought this has to be 12.6V on this board, right? What can cause PPBUS to be too low? Strange thing is, the board boots and works fine (i only don't have trackpad connected...

SOLVED: 820-01700 fixed after LD but throttling(?) now

Yes. makes sense, learned a lot with this one. Thanks again!

SOLVED: 820-01700 fixed after LD but throttling(?) now

OK some good news: and a little info on what i found, it might be of help to others later on: After i put back original U4770 dump and tried DFU again, it was still painfully slow. I managed to boot it into Internet Recovery with the help of an ethernet-cable (progress) but still extremely...
