While attaching the fan to the edge of the board I over tightened the screw and the female hole side that is attached to the board snapped off. What would be the best way to reattach it to the board? I know superglue is frowned upon, so is there a epoxy that would work better? Should I solder it...
I have a 575DA it's similar and I have done the same (2 min @ 65C) on a iPhone 6 board and it went in with water damage and no power and came out working fine. Just follow the directions and give it a good alcohol bath and then I let blow dry with my air filter at room temp for a bit and then...

I have been looking at diffrent things on to get from mouser.com when I am first starting out repaing motherboards. I know there are some things that Louis says you should just keep in stock like the LP8550 back light chip, should I also invest in a resistor kit or a capacitor kit? And if so...
You are right there is a plunger but no "stick." I found a good solution though. I found a few smaller suernges that I can use and so I split the Flux up into the smaller parts so that way I have more control over how much i am using.
ok I ended up just using the smaller plunger but it started to just ooze out the back and then i just used that to goop it onto the board with a Q-tip. This is my first time using flux that works and wow I love it. The solder just goes onto the pad!! What a concept!!
This is a total rookie question but I got a tube of the Amtech NC-559-V2-TF direct from the Rossmann Group and it came without a plunger. I have some smaller ones that I got from a medical tube but it does not fit. Does anyone know where I can get a lager one that I can use with the Amtech? Is...
