    MacBook A2141 (820-01700) Stuck on 5V & DFU

I am missing SSD Voltages (PP2V5_NAND, PP1V8_SDD0, PP0V9_SDD0) I see in schematics that these lines are created by U9580 and U9500. I have VIN on both these IC but noticed I am missing SSD0_VR_P2V5_EN. (Same goes for SSD1 / U9080 & U9000) I am wanting to learn more about how the SSD circuit...

Hi Guys. I have an A2142 (820-01700) board here for data recovery. It's pulling 5V and auto detects in DFU mode. The board was previously in at another shop, there was flux around the T2 Chip, ISL9240 and PMIC. I changed ISL9240 - it appears prior shop attempted reflow on these components...

820-00165-A Intermittent Power Problems - Where to Start (?)

How do you diagnose a board that has intermittent power problems? Boots normally then dies randomly at different times, then does not boot at all for some time then randomly starts working again. Wondering what the first steps are in diagnosing something like this.

820-3437 Board Couple Second Fan Spin Few Times then Boots Normally

I can confirm It does always happen (usually boots after 5-7 unsuccessful attempts) . Signs of light liquid damage yes. Upon another inspection of the board I see solder balls coming out of the side of bios chip U6100. Would a bad U6100 cause these types of symptoms? Also I understand you cant...

    820-3437 Missing SMC_SENSOR_PWR_EN

Machine gets orange light, no fan spin. Found it was missing PP3V3_S4SW_SNS. I tracked this back to U8050 and found that U8050 was not getting SMC_SENSOR_PWR_EN. I found that the SMC Creates the SMC_SENSOR_PWR_EN signal. I changed this SMC and still have the exact same issue, nothing has...

    A1466 Doesn't Boot - Stuck Apple Logo

Thank you. One more question, can I replace the SPI chip (U6100) with one from a donor board? Would that work or are they somehow married to the logic board?

    A1466 Doesn't Boot - Stuck Apple Logo

"Try ne BIOS, wirh clean ME." I have not done this before -- is there a guide with the process that I can refer to? Quick google research I see I can access the bios by holding “Command,” “Option,” “0” and “F” on boot.
