Customer spilt pot noddle over keyboard. Mac would not power on. Cleaned out keyboard and removed logic board. Area around UT890, CT701 and LT700 corroded. The via under pin 1 of LT700 had completly gone so ran a wire from pin 2 PP5V_S2_DFR_FILT to CX401 Pin 1 ( I did not replace LT700)

Replaced U7000 PPBUS_G3H = 0.30v
PP3V3V_G3H still good at 3.34v
5v on charger
No short on PPBUS diode reading is .436
I've noticed that the CD3215 chip I replaced is slightly different to the original. Original chip CD3215B03 which I replaced with a CD3215C00.
So initially both CD3215's were...
U3100 LDO readings not good so I replaced the CD3215 and now they are fine and I am now getting PP3V3_G3H. However, I was getting 0v on PPBUS_G3H. Reflowed ISL9239 and now am getting 2.5v on PPBUS.
I am waiting for a delivery of ISL9239's and will change once received. Below are the readings...
These are the results for USB-C terminals. Do I still need to measure the LDO data lines or are these results below enough for me to need to replace the USB-C Ports? To me looks pretty conclusive that I'll need to change the ports considering the port pins were pretty messed up when I initially...
Board very clean - no liquid damage.
Both USB-C Ports showed signs of damage. Cleaned up damage as best as I could.
On one port I get 5v 0.00a on the other port I get 5v 160mA but if I spin the charging cable around I will get nothing on this port (AMP meter does not light up)
PPDCIN_G3H =...
I can’t find an IR Oven on eBay. Is this what you mean? Will this do?

I managed to get the board to work by heating the CPU. Booted up and I had display.
Shut it down to reassemble and tested again but would not come on.
Board now stuck at 20v
Draws 220mA for 5 seconds then drops to 160mA and stays at that.
Would an SMC reset fix this or am I looking at a problem...
Hi, I did do diode mode to ground. Red probe on ground and black probe on test points. What did I do wrong? Also checked these test points on another working board and got the same results.
