So left shift is absolutely kbd_sense_x10. I had a broken trace from ut102 to pin 2 of rt140. It had corrosion i couldn't see at all. Thanks for the help.
Yes exact postion from a2442 board. I read about the firmware thing. Yes i will do. Also so about the port not working one side what are the chances that the cd3217 chip i used is causing that.
Hi, hope you are having a good day. So this board is heavy liquid damage. Ppbus_aon was shorted due to ur760 and ug800 and ug400 was blown. And up800 ( i just removed it as waiting for more of them)
I took off ur760
Replaced ug400( donor board a2442 but not sure if its good) ug800.
So no...
Hey so quick update on this, still waiting for a damaged keyboard to rip apart but in the meantime i think i have found something kbd_sense_x10 has a weird diode mode reading. Its 0.800 verus a good board and open data it should he 0.600 ish. So i replaced dzt204(again) and ut102 and nothing...
Took up800 put red probe on pin 7 and black on 32 and diode mode result is 0.06 so chip is now bad but this was a good chip. I wonder if something in the circut shorted it or was it when i reballed it. In any case thank you for the help so far, will revist when i have more chips and will post...
Check on cp810 as i have done that and its ol or are you saying to check on the chip directly? Damn that was a chip off a board with working backlight. I wonder what happened. As always really appreciate your help. I will check the chip to be sure but if it is bad it will have to sit awhile as i...
So the initial reading of 0.06 was with it on and then when i had taken it off the reading went to 0.07 and started to drop back down. Then i put the cap back on. Also the ohm reading on luxe_c_vdd is 45 with one probe on ground
Alright so i have replaced everything that had even the slightest bit of liquid that had to do with lcd and saw no broken traces so then i started to look at voltage and see if anything is missing and in that process i have come across luxe c vdd has 0.0 v and when i did diode mode it shows up...
I see. Well will replace as much as possible then and report back. Also thank you very much for always getting back. Anything in particular i should focus or look at.
Oh this is a fun one. Liquid damaged. Initially didnt power on, thats fixed. Here what i have done so far, anything that looked severly liquid damaged i just replaced.
Here is the list -
Up800
Cp821
Rp801
Rp802
I dont understand this new backlight circut well as i am still learning to...
Not sure if i need to make another post for this but
I have another board that came in as well. It goes to 19v and about 0.21a and then the meter reboots. What weird is that it does it slowly like 5v then 15v and then 19v or it will have like 7v and 9v including in that process. Not sure if that...
Ah thats why the pinout says nfc, wait for starters i really appreciate your time for telling me that, i just realized i could have google the chip number. Well wish me luck for this machine
Fair enough, i have been removing chips with no change, so will continue to do as i would have to remove alot of these chips and replace them due to liquid damage. Do you know the purpose of u5000, it just says secure element but i would like to know its purpose
Back again. This machine is extremely liquid damaged and has me confused as i am still new to it.
Board got 5v and 0.3a
These are the lines that are shorted or low diode mode reading
Pp3v8_aon 0.120
Originally was shorted to ground but took off ur630 and thats the new reading...
Alright so i removed f5200 again and wanted to check if voltage would stabilize. It did not however it started to cycle from 1-2v. When to check q5230/40 again. Saw in diode mode q5230 pin 8 was 0.038. So i took it off. Gave the machine power again and checked pin 1 of f5200 and it was 1.8v and...
PPBUS_AON just cycles from 11.73v to 10.34v and in the cycles goes down to zero. The cycle is continuous and at no point stable for one second except when it goes to zero.
3v8_aon is not present
