Have you tried different i/o board?? Macbook airs have Audio ic circuitry on i/o boards

Hi, it was l8300, that fucker had 5 volts on one side and 2 volts on other. Replaced and machine is working fine now

Yeah, tried with 3 good lcds from same, but same result, removed u9600 and its pin 1 is corroded on chip itself, i have a board with same number, can i replace it from there?

Pram reset done, pin 9: 0v pin 28,29,30:5v(even without lcd connected) i have seen in other board that pin 28 goes high for few seconds then it goes low, but this one stays at 5v all the times

no liquid damage, board is clean and no signs of corrosion, display comes on external monitor but its no image or backlight on lcd, checked l8300 and lcd_bklit_en_l is 12.40volts, so no voltage is passing it, r7742 is 0 volts, so i removed it and hooked that line to pp3v3_s5 and then backlight...

I tried it from 00165 board, it worked but sound wasn't working and it was showing 5 mb graphics memory, so i reballed old smc and it started working. thanks

Voltage on pin 7 and 3 are come and going, I think its smc, as machine boots on smc bypass, but still stuck on loading bar. will smc from 820-00165 work?? The board look exactly similar

It had minor liquid damage around smc and there was no green light, reflowed smc and it started working but it was getting stuck at loading bar, so i reprogrammed bios with clean dump provided by duke on this forum, but then it started looping. fan will spin for few seconds and all power rails...

Managed to turn it on, everything works fine,but there is no voltage on ppvccgt_s0g_ph3 ,ph2 and ph1. is it supposed to be like that?? Machine is booting and i can use it.

Yeah, that's what i told them, but they think os can fix graphical glitches, can't wait to see look on their faces when it fails again, lol

Pin 12 is 0 pin 21 is 0 pin 23 is 13.10 volts u7890 only pin 6 have 3.3, rest are 0. i will post voltages on pin 13 and 22 of u7650 on Monday

Check lcd connector under microscope, i encountered same problem recently and it was corrosion on connector

Came in for liquid damage repair, corrosion was around jtag connector and vp0r voltage sensor, cleaned and replaced few components and it started working, clened it and put new thermal paste on cpu and when i tried to test it, nothing happened, so i measured few voltages and ppbus was around...

Installed new os and it started working fine, which is strange as it was having same issues while running hardware test. Made me look like an idiot in font of my boss and colleague

I have a 12" retina that will give distorted screen when its turned on, when its turned on, screen will be fine until loading bar comes up, and then screen went all distorted like it have a gpu issue, its not a screen issue as it just stucks at apple logo when it happens. is there any way to fix...

it wasn't vcore line but it was a capacitor on input voltage of vcore chip

Probably a long shot, i have a dell DA0D13MBCD1 rev d1 motherboard, initially it wasn't turning on, checked under microscope and found cap on vcore circuit was shorted, replaced and now it turns on, but do have anything on screen, after measuring around, i found that vcc_gfx_core is missing...

I will try it tomorrow, all sensors are readily fine in hwmonitor except for airport proximity, i guess that's because i left camera cable unconnected while running it
