    i would remove Q3880, U3890 and R0960 be done with it. i think that should disable the pp15v_t29 line if you want to find the short then just start with from small until all the way up. no more than 15v obvious. I find pouring some alcohol will help, you still start to see smoke then poke it...

    i find these common problems on core2duo macbooks. these old isight/wifi cable has gone bad. i would check which line is shorted to ground when you plug the cable.

    buy a TL866 Mini Pro programmer. they are inexpensive and very easy to use. works on all kind of laptop's bios chip. Louis Rossmann has a guide on this.

    Firewire and ethernet were shorted on PPBUS. i had to dig a massive hole to remove the short. i also have to disable U3900 because PP1v2_enet line is also shorted. now the board doesn't have firewire, ethernet and SD card. Why does SD card require U3900 for data connection??? anyway, to bypass...

    2informaticos can you help me with your Medusa, this was the only reason i subscribe again. i have many 3115 clean me bios files but I'm concern with editing the Serial no, can the board run without a problem when it doesn't have the correct Fsys checksum?
