Tried the CPU, didn't work. The only crap on the board was around the clock chip, u3510 only this chip and a bit went down to c7540 and C7582. It wasn't something corrosive so it didn't cause any corrosion anywhere.
I took out the SMC just to make sure that's not the issue, was clean.
Any...
Originally there was damage on Y1905, U3510 and C7540. Very isolated damage.
Nothing looked corroded, just cleaning the liquid stains (probably had sugar) was enough to see that the parts were not visibly damaged.
I will post the measurements, but keep in mind that I already tried replacing...
I haven't had any luck with DFU yet, nor I know what OS is on the T2 machine as I bought it as is.
Any other suggestions?
Edit:
I forgot to add, sometimes (1 out of 7-8 connections) it will go to 19-20V with 0.08A
The USB is still stuck at 5V
The board doesn't start.
Connecting to another MacBook to try and do DFU reset gives "Cannot use thunderbolt Accessory"

Both USB ports have the same pulsing behavior on the amps usage.
I couldn't find short on any big caps or coils.
Is there an SMC on this one? It's a T2 model.
If the battery and the charger are both connected one port goes to 0.09A the other to 0.07A and they do not cycle.
Uknown history looks like someone cleaned the board ultrasonically
No visible corrosion
Takes 5V and 0.08A looping to 0.00A every ~5 seconds

Liquid damaged keyboard connector and around UA600.
I replaced a few caps that looked damaged (C7274, C7290, CA607) and retinned the keyboard connector.
I also reflowed UA600 to make sure that all pins are properly connected.
The device turns on, takes 19.2V and 1.13A.
The fans start at normal...
Originally J2401 was liquid damaged and had to be replaced. After replacement, there was still no touch.
The touch IC was also corroded around C2410 so I ended up replacing U2402 as reflowing didn't help either.
After that, there is still no touch. There was more damage but since the phone is...
A little update that might help.
Heating the SMC area seems to make the fan stop. I reflowed the SMC and it looked like it fixed the issue. However, after a few hours, I left it to sleep. While asleep the fan started on its own and now the issue is back again.
I am pretty sure there is no...
Hello,
I have this board that had short to ground on CB300 due to a liquid spill on that side. It was isolated liquid damage on that side of the board.
After repairing that the left fan (looking from top) now starts at max speed and stays there. The other fan is not even on.
I can control both...
I removed U8400 and measured with the chip off, still 0L. Replaced it and no difference.
I checked SMC_LID_LEFT and RIGHT both at 1.8V
LID_OPEN_LEFT is 1.8 and right sits at 0.5 when not connected to the audio flex and 1.8V when connected.
BKLT_EN_R is still at 3.3V
LCDBKLT_EN_L is at 12.05...
the reading is indeed 0L on all 4 resistors measured with red probe to ground.
The lines are uninterrupted to the lvds connector
Can this be U8400's fault? If so can I use one fro 820-00875 to replace it?
Edit: Added R8451-2 diode mode measurements
Edit2: I managed to log in and increase the brightness, it was at max and there is no difference when being moved around

The first coil i measured happened to be on PP3V3_S5 and it's shorted to ground.
Injecting 3 volts the small DIE on the CPU gets hot immediately.
I guess i am just unlucky with these..
Hello,
This originally had liquid damage on and around the lvds backlight capacitors (C8469..)
I first cleaned the board, it was dead prior, after cleaning it was turning on but no backlight.
I replaced the bad looking capacitors and it showed backlight. I cleaned the board again to remove the...
As always lets start with a bit history. It might be helpful.
Originally it had damaged usb port due to liquid (replaced the ports), and damaged U7650 (might have been good but since there was some corrosion on pin 23 i replaced it)
Currently i get 19.4V 0.02A on both ports
