U8080 measurements
PP5V_S4 5v
P5VS0_EN 3.3v
P5VS0_FET_RAMP was shorted so replaced U8080 and short is gone
Now to the interesting. All s4 lines are gone and dont have pm_slp_s5_l
Tested to change U8080 back to the original one and all lines are back but PP5V_S0 0.219v.
Tested another new...

CPU getting hot
solved it so far. Pad under R5100 was gone replaced and now I have green and orange light and ppbus are 12.6 volts.
Still no fan spin but one step closer
Hello
Im working on a 820-3476 board and cant understand whats wrong with it. Have replaced SMC with no change. Some measurements
PP3V42_G3H 3.43V
ppbus_g3h . 12.3v
SMC_BC_ACOK 3.4v
SMC_BC_ACOK_VCC 3.4v
ADAPTER_SENSE 2.84v
SYS_ONEWIRE 2.85v
As always Im using genuine charger and tried...
Yes thats what I thinking of. Resistance to ground and 1.7V on PPBUS makes me thinking of that short. If I measure VCore and it also shows 1.7V should confirm it am I right?
yes I know but half of the board heats up just besides the cpu but cant find one component as I usually do. But how come ppbus is 1.7 and not 0v if shorted?
Pin 2 PPBUS_G3H thats 10 ohm.
Already tried inserted voltage, nothing getting hot with 1 volts
Strange thing is that my psu dont send out constant current before getting over 2 V. At 1.7v it draws 0.323 Ah. But over 2 V it sends out constant current but cant really find the short. A big part of...
R5040 measures right
already removed q5040 many times, did it again with no change =) shouldnt the battery charge even in smc bypass mode?
Are PP5V S4 REG coming on after SMC_BATLOW_L?
Ok, thank you for good explanation =) Strange it doesnt get high tied 3 smc all with exact the same measurements. I use both my PSU and original charger when working with the boards but never got any difference between my PSU and charger.
Now I have replaced the SMC again but still the same. No SMC_BATLOW_L :( Seems I cant figure this out. Fan pulsing and no start. Not charging. Starts in SMC bypass mode but not booting cant see SSD. Is there anything else that can cause SMC_BATLOW_L not getting high?
