    820-00163 PPBUS_G3H 1.54v

Came back to this one. Found that CHGR_CELL probe point had gone so ran a wire. Briefly plugged in and now i got charger voltage on PPBUS (20v) Q7130 / Q7135 likely targets here ? Thanks.

    820-00163 PPBUS_G3H 1.54v

Thanks Duke. Yes pins 27/28 22ohm (sorry) Replaced U7100 with another from a donor board. Ran a wire for CHGR_UGATE as i was wary of the trace on pin 24 U7100 Now get 5v on PPBUS_G3H. Checked all the resistors etc around U7100 but nothing springs out. Does 5v give any hints ? (thanks)

    820-3588 (imac) - pp3v3_S5 shorted

iMac 21" 2013 no power. no lights on MLB Tried known good PSU same result. Found that pp3v3_S5 has a dead short to ground. Seems to be on pin 1 of L7610 (0v diode mode) Pin 2 of L7610 is 0.125v Tried injecting some voltage got to 3amp @ 0.7volts Not done many iMac boards so am unsure as to...

    [SOLVED]820-3787 - Various sensor errors TM0P TP0P TW0P Ta0P

Thank you Duke, that confirmed everything. Slight variation in diode mode on the SCL / SDA versus a donor pointed me towards SDA. It was R5360 despite initially measuring ok. Once replaced all working. You may mark as solved Thank you again.

    [SOLVED]820-3787 - Various sensor errors TM0P TP0P TW0P Ta0P

820-3787 Been previously cleaned (boo!) had backlight issues which have been resolved. Fan is running full after about 10 seconds into boot. EFI ASD gives following errors: TM0P TP0P TW0P Ta0P Looked at U5870 as this seems to deal with all of these. Checked continuity to/from this chip...

How pedantic are you about noting everything you do to a board?

Hi Paul, I do tend to note down what i replace, along with any other things of note such as previous rework simply in case of warranty return so i know what i have done if needed many months later. I often simplify to "LP8550 and surrounding" for example but it has helped me in the past when a...

    820-00165 pp3v42 shorted

820-00165 very clean looking board. No obvious liquid damage anywhere. pp3v42 0.2v ppbus_g3h 0.585v short to ground on pp3v42. removed L7095 - short is on system side (pin2) 0v diode mode 0ohm spent some time removing caps on pp3v42(to oneside then checking for short then putting back)...

    A1104 (Vinage Powerbook G4 12") - Keyboard interchangeable between 15/17' models?

Hiya, I think that the aluminium top part should come off albeit with some difficulty, i remember having to glue one back on for someone some years ago. My experience of third party ones out there now is that they are pretty damn poor (most been sitting on a shelf for years). The newertech ones...

    A1104 (Vinage Powerbook G4 12") - Keyboard interchangeable between 15/17' models?

Hiya, 12" is a different keyboard. The 15" /17" ones have a much shorter cable as they plugged into a little daughter board with the power button etc, before a smaller connector went to the motherboard. Also 15/17" cable comes out the bottom rather than at the side. There is a site in the UK...

[SOLVED] 820-2936 - ME region - original rom corrupt / messed with

Hi There, 820-2936 With ORIGINAL ROM chip quarter fan spin With DONOR ROM chip - boots fine. ORIGINAL ROM chip is N25q064a. As i don't use the TL866 very often so i found another TEST N25q064a (from a MBP 15" 2012) to play with first to make sure i could remember how to do it. The TEST...

[SOLVED] 820-2936 Quarter fan spin - yay!

Was the bios chip (U6100). Donor chip boots all the way through - was literally last thing i was going to do before donoring it no signs of damage either. Some ME fuckery to do but can mark this as solved! thank you both for your help.

[SOLVED] 820-2936 Quarter fan spin - yay!

Hi Duke thanks for the reply. R7402 measures fine, voltages correct either side. (12.56v/12.46v) R7401 also measures fine. is 0v (not jumping) on PLT__RESET_L and MEMVTT_EN worth investigation or should they come up after Vcore ?

[SOLVED] 820-2936 Quarter fan spin - yay!

Hi Louis, Yes. ALL_SYS_PWRGD does pulse. I checked a lot of things. The only things that looked odd were: 1. pp5v_S0 jumping but only to around 0.2v (which sent me on my U7200 journey as it appeared to be the only rail not jumping to the voltage it should be) 2. MEMVTT_EN is missing and not...
