    so instead of 1.8v from PP1v8_SLPS2R i injected up to 2.2V and this actually got it into DFU. Revive it and its working now.

    820-01521 is stuck on boot, no shorts anyway, stuck on 5v 70ma. no heat signature anywhere including T2 except for the cd3215 that its connected to. PPBUS_G3H 12.2V LDO on the PMU for SLP/awake all present. including 3v3. injected 1.8v to force_DFU but does not seem to work. out of ideas now

    no history other than it just suddenly died. yes tried SMC reset as well. i thought PLT_RST_L signal indicates that BIOS loadout is complete and CPU is talking to EFI? anyway i will try finding for the a clean BIOS first

    i have a 820-3478 which Fan spins but don't chime and only black screen first 2 LED lights up, CPU Vcore 1.7V GPU Vcore 0.8V PLT_RST_L 3.3V no shorts detected is this GPU issue? resistance on gpu core is 20ohms same goes to CPU as well.

    ok further updates, When nothing is connected to board only screen, SMC bypass shows which showing low battery sign. but when kb and tp is connected during smc bypass, i get high fan spin, and nothing after that. no different with another battery, mac is not booting. any ideas?

    low battery sign appearing on known good LCD, my guess is the orignal LCD is dead. but that does not explain why it does not boot will try a battery first, but i thought the a1707 did not need a battery to boot and with battery i can't do smc bypass?

    update. i manage to fix this. So keypoint is that it USB C works 1 side and not the other. U7860 was the culprit. for the others if USB not detected, check u4520 and u4400. u7860 and u7865 for the flip side.
