Is the machine detected in DFU mode?
If not, check all AWAKE and SLPS2R voltages; small coils around U7800.
 
I put it back together and it works fine. The touchbar cable had a small amount of corrosion and the screen sleep sensor was badly corroded. I cleaned both. The touchbar works fine, but the sleep sensor cable is damaged.
