I have just been given this macbook A2442 that had a gin and tonic spilt onto it.

They said "Smoke came out of it"

I just opened it up for a quick look (Pics below)
I cant find a schematic for this model, Is this touchpad and connector repairable do you think, where should I start?
( I haven't tried to turn it on or connect power yet to take any voltages until I got some advice on the best way at tackling this )
Any advice on this one much appreciated, Apple quoted her £1350.00 GBP to repair it.

Probably wasting time.

This board must turn on by itself with Magsafe 3 charger; no battery needed.
Trackpad is not needed to start; however, the fan will spin to max in such case.
If M1 data lines connected to trackpad connector have been affected, the board is trash now.

If use USB-C charger, then need to connect good battery too.

If really want to spend some time with it, check first diode mode to ground on all power rails; start with big coils.
If no bad readings, connect charger and tell us which (if) voltages appear.
You have a good start point here:

Just getting around to looking at this today, Would you remove that burnt trackpad connector from the logic board first before attempting anything due to how badly its burnt?
