21.5'' 2012 iMac white image on screen

Hello, i have a 21.5'' 2012 iMac with white distorted image on screen, i opened it and it looks that the connectors of the lcd cable are a little bit bent, i assume is the tipical person with no knowledge pulling on the screen without realizing that it's still attached.

My silly question is, since i do not have another screen or cable, just to confirm it, is it posible to connect a Macbook Air on it and test if there's image?
