3rd party ssd for macbook air/pro

Would the OWC ssd for macbook work actually in a macbook air a1466 2014m like this:

its says 2011 so i guess not complatible, but is it worth to look for a compatible SSD? at the moment if the ssd dies we can just buy another second hand one, but would be better to buy new one, and its cheaper

No not compatible it's Mini Sata vs PCIE way different connections. Up to you on buying a new or used one has to be the PCIE version from 2013-2015.

2013+ there are no properly working solutions (sleep issues), only original SSD will work.
