820-00045 dont detect ssd

Hello, i have a1534 2015, problem is that it dont detect hdd at all. has anybody faced that problem?

Yup, pretty common fault on these...would be a bitch to fix. If it was liquid, hopes are a bit higher. If it was random or a drop, this will be a nightmare.

i heard that reballing hhd's doesnt help. maybe controller reball would help, but its Package on Package over 1000 solder balls.

has anybody did that fault?

No good news about this yet.
I don't know if someone tried to reflash SSD ROM.
Medusa guy sells now a new board adapter for various chips (A4069).
That will fit SSD ROM for A1534 and probably USB-C ROM too.

noticed if a bit force the housing of mb, it detects ssd. so means somewhere is cold joint. which ic does control ssd's?

Sounds broken solder under some BGA chip from SSD area.
Could be the controller, NAND, ROM, or even missing voltage.
It is hopeless project.

You can try your luck with the chips from pages 54-59, or put entire board into IR oven...
