820-00163-A boot with out battery?

hi. can a 820-00163-A 15" retina boot with out battery connected? when i plug magsafe charger it will only show battery charging icon then turns off and pulling 0.00 amps after

Do you get low battery icon when pulg in the charger, without battery connected?
Did you test original 85W Magsafe 2 charger?

Not always, but use an OEM 85 watt magsafe 2 charger. Device should at least power on
