I have a MacBook Air "13, Early 2015 A1466 820-00165-A

Came in still wet, opened it right up and unplugged the battery. Gave it an ultrasonic bath right away followed up with an alcohol bath, heat pad and left overnight.

Reassembled it the next day. Boots up on charger only, however it does see the battery and charge light goes from green to orange.

Battery Status shows Replace Battery, however it's @ %68. So we see the battery, and it acts like it's charging it. If I unplug the charger it shuts right off so safe to say it's not at all running on battery.

I traced PPBUS_G3H and have 8.57 @ all my points.

PP3V42_G3H @ 3.41

Had corrosion at these points :

( Top of Board )

C7797, L7701, XW7720

J6100

Above and just right of Shield SL0402 Near TP1GND

( Bottom of Board )

Good amount between U5600 and U5601

Around C5440 over the ground and PPBUS_G3H

Board cleaned up well, as I received it still wet.

Looking for some direction to figure what I need to do next.

I'll attach photos if it helps ?

Thanks in advance !

If PPBUS_G3H stuck on 8.57V, battery is not charging.
You receive "Replace Now" alert for battery, which usually means bad battery.
Magsafe light stays orange even without battery connected, as normal behaviour for all MacBooks since 2013.
It switch to green ONLY when battery is fully charged 100%.

Try known good battery (even old), before wasting more time on it...
