I'm following the the map: https://logi.wiki/index.php/G3_to_S3_State_for_Ivy_Bridge_Haswell_and_Broadwell

Everything measures good up until PM_SLP_S5_L. Below is what I have recorded. According to the schem this PM_SLP_S5 comes from the PCH? Or am I reading that wrong... thanks in advance :)

Why did you block on PM_SLP_S5_L?
Did you look at Power State Table from page 59?

Trigger SMC_ONOFF_L and check for drop pulse at PM_PWRBTN_L.

Trigger SMC_ONOFF_L and check for drop pulse at PM_PWRBTN_L: It does drop

Looking at the power state table now... first time I've done it! :O
Here comes the noob question... what am I looking for? I assume the "1" means that PM_SLP_S5_L will only be on in the S0 and sleep states. Should I be skipping this then and moving further on?

PM_SLP_S4_L pulses to 3.3 when I connect power for a second, then remains 0v. When triggering SMC_ONOFF, it does jump up to 3.3v.

Check if PM_SLP_S3_L does the same.
If yes, all S3 and S0 voltages should pulse too.
Also check for pulse at pins 7 & 3 of U1950.

Then check for pulse at all big coils.
Also check output voltages from pages 57 & 58.

Try to start the board in SMC bypass.

Trying to start in SMC bypass: As soon as I let go of the power button the fan spins one cycle, stops. Spins again, stops. Doesn't continue/no other sign of life.

Seems a bunch of the outputs on page 57 rely on PM_SLP_S4... which I'm missing.

" PM_SLP_S4_L pulses to 3.3
---------------------
PM_SLP_S4... which I'm missing."
???
Check at the same time when you get pulse at PM_SLP_S4/3_L...

From Page 57:
PP3V3_S5: 3.3v steady
P1V8S3_EN: Pulses up to 3.2v when power is connected
PP1V8_S3: Pulses up to 1.8v when power is connected
PP3V3_SUS: 3.3v steady
PP1V05_SUS: 1.05v steady

So... P1V8S3_EN: Pulses up to 3.2v when power is connected is obviously not good?
