820 00165 No VCORE

U1950 had pad 8 missing after liquid in the area. I ran a jumper and replaced the chip. It was working for 2 days but now the fan spins for 10 seconds than stops and restarts and keeps spinning.

Some voltages.

• CPUVR_PHASE2 0
• PP3V3_SUS 3.3
• PM_SLP_SUS_L 3.3
• PP3V3_S0 0
• PLT_RESET_L 0
• ALL_SYS_PWRGD 3.4
• PM_BATLOW_L 3.3
• CPUVR_PGOOD When I try and check this voltage the machine shuts down.

I have replaced bios and checked SPI traces. Not sure about USB activity but the mouse light comes on.

2- 3.3 if connected when powering on, if take probe off and put back on the machine shuts down.

Check diode mode to ground at 3V3_S0.
Post P3V3S0_EN level.

PP3V3_S0 is there it probably always was but I probably checked it after checking CPUVR_PGOOD_R which shuts down the machine. If I had the fan connected I would have realized.

Diode PP3V3_S0 = 0.36

Diode P3V3S0_EN = 0.64

Voltage = 3.3

CPU stuffed?

Check CPU_VCCST_PWRGD.
Do you get voltage at L7310/20?

VCCST power good is required, before enabling VCORE.
