When I connect this board, it tries to go on and gets back to stand by, when that happens PM_SLP_S5_L pulses. So I can´t get PP3v3_s4 because of that. Call for a dead cpu?
ALL_SYS_PWRGD is pulsing too... I followed the trace to U7600, PP1v05_s0 is not being created, it pulses and then goes to 0v...changed U7600 and Q7630, no change...
History... this came in because keyboard and trackpad weren´t working... it went out as a no fixable because it was the PCH, now the customer thinks I did something because it is not turning on... the customer was using it with an external kb and mouse
I gave the computer working to the customer, it returned because it doesn´t turn on anymore... and have problems with PM_SLP_S5_L which I need to have also I don´t get PP1V05_S0
If ALL_SYS_PWRGD pulses, then PM_SLP_S4/3_L pulse too.
All S3 and S0 voltages should also pulse, check that; don't forget pages 57 & 58.
Check for pulse at pins 7 & 3 of U1950.
What about PLT_RESET_L?
so I narrowed down to
PM_PCH_SYS_PWROK, when R1962 is removed, the computer tries to turn on, it even goes up to .380A... I replaced U1950 just in case, but stll the same...
smc bypass tries tu turn on the machine, but cant make it...
when R1962 is removed, all the voltages are OK but PLT_RESET_L
Diode Mode on PIN 2 R1962 =.723
In SMC bypass mode the board tries to run getting to .290A and then drop back to .01 A
PLT_RESET_L pulses to .008v
VCCST_PWRGD small pulse up to .530v
When R1962 is in place I get .10A and goes back to standby
in smc bypass mode I get to .14A and goes back to standby
with R1962 in place PLT_RESET_L pulses to .130v in smc bypass mode
