820-00165 - wont turn on.

minor liquid found on U1930. I've replaced and it's still no go. red/green light on the charger but no fan spin.

here's are the measurements:

ppbus_g3h: 8.59v
pp3v42_g3h: 3.42v
rtc: 3.3v
PP5V_S5: 5v
pp3v3_s5: 3.3
pp3v3_s0: 0v -3.3v for a split second then goes 0v. not pulsing.
pp1v5_s0: 0v -1.5v for a split second then goes 0v. not pulsing.
pp5v_s3: 0v -5v for a split second then goes 0v. not pulsing.
pp3v3_sus: 3.3
PP3V3_S4: 0v - gets 3.3v
SMC_ADAPTER_EN: 3.4v
PM_SLP_SUS_L: 3.3v
PM_SLP_S5_L: 0v - 3.3v for a split second then goes 0v. not pulsing.
p3v3s3_en: 0v -gets 3.3v for a split second then goes 0v. not pulsing.
PM_SLP_S4_L: 0v - 3.3v for a split second then goes 0v. not pulsing.
ALL_SYS_PWRGD 0v
pp5v_s4: 0v -5v for a split second then goes 0v. not pulsing.
SMC_BC_ACOK: 3.3v
PP1V05_SUS: 1.05v

cpuvore is 14ohms to ground. A known-good board is around 18-20 ohms.

smc_bypass does quarter fan spin for a couple of times. cpuvcore jumps to 1.1v and pulsing


if I power on without U1930 then all voltages are present, cpuvcore present and stable with fan spin.

I've already tried other bios, it's the same.

yep, i've checked this area many times.

1st I've tried using other chip from a donor board of same 00165 board.
2nd I've made of own using piernov's clean me region method, i had many successful doing it on other boards as well.

oh yes pulse , 3.3v for a split second.

also check for a pulse at CPU_VCCST_PWRGD

CPU_VCCST_PWRGD - 1v pulse

all voltages present and stable if i remove U1930.

Corruption on main BIOS area, cannot be solved cleaning ME area!
That was the reason to recommend new FULL BIOS to try.

Check all voltages from pages 57/58.

yes, sorry. forgot to add i've tried different bios as well.

this is a hard one, think i'll leave it and put on a dead pile.
probably theres crap under pch/cpu.

2informaticos, do you want this board for free and maybe you can fix it. its a 8gb version.
