820-00239-A 20v on PPDCIN_G3h_CHGR, 0.77v on PPBUS_G3H

Hi,

I am working on an 820-00239-A. Charger was stuck at 5V, after replacing UB400 I'm getting 20V 0,0A on other 3 ports, the port UB400 is responsible for is still stuck at 5V.
PPBUS_G3H is 0.77v.
PP3V3_G3H is 3.4v.

Can UB400 be responsible for PPBUS_G3H not being created properly?

Thank you for your time so far.

The voltages I could measure are:

PM_EN_P3V3_G3H 5.00V
PPVBAT_G3H_CHGR_REG 0.776V
PPVBAT_G3H_CONN 0.776V
TBA_BGATE 0.2mV
TBA_BOOT1 4.70V
TBA_BOOT2 4,74V
TBA_CSO_N 0.776V
TBA_CSO_P 0.776V
TBA_GATE_Q1 2.8mV
TBA_GATE_Q2 0V
TBA_GATE_Q3 0V
TBA_GATE_Q4 2.8mV
TBA_LX1 2.8mV
TBA_LX2 2.8mV

I then accidentally shorted SMC_RST_L and PP3V3_G3H at R7009 and R7090 while measuring.
Now PM_EN_P3V3_G3H is missing so I think I fried U7000.

I already ordered a replacement for U7000 and have to wait for it.

Sorry to hear that.
Pay more atention when you work on these new boards.

BTW, basic pins are P_IN, AUX_DET, VDDA/P, MPM_PBUS, VR1_3P3, EN_VR1, SMC_RST*, AUX_OK, CBC_ON, A/BMON.

Hi

I replaced U7000 now.

P_IN 20.17V
AUX_DET 5.01V
DDA 5.13 V
DDP 5.13V
MPM_PBUS 19.81V
VR1_3P3 3.327V
EN_VR1 5.12V
SMC_RST* 3.331V
AUX_OK 3.331V
AMON 15mV
BMON 2mV

for CBC_ON I could not find a probe point on the board view.

PPBUS_G3H is still 0.77v.

I'm wondering how can you get 4.1V in diode mode .
Did you test with red probe at ground and black probe at PPBUS_G3H???
Disconnect charger and battery; allow 10s before diode mode test.

BTW, forget the "V" when you post diode mode reading.
