Hello All,

I've got a touchbar from a friend that had some liquid spilled on.
However, it looked pretty clean inside aside from some sticky brown mess on L7960 (cocke?)

It did not power on and had a short to ground on ppbus_g3h.
Since there's a lot of stuff on ppbus_g3h I decided to inject some voltage in ppbus_g3h.
After injecting voltage on c6483, U7270 became hot.
Replaced U7270 and got a lot more voltages and obviously no short on ppbus_g3h anymore.

However After a quick coil mesuring, I got the following.
No chime,no image, no fan spin. Cpu does get warm.

the ones that stay low:

L7270 --> 0.007 - 0.010
L7220 --> 0.027
L7210 --> 0.027
L7410 --> 0.002
L7420 --> 0.002
L7430 --> 0.002

The other ones:

L3500 --> 0.005 - 0.000
L8410 --> 0.019
L7030 --> 13.06
L7660 --> 3.357
L7600 --> 5.144
L7700 --> 1.056
LB7000 --> 0.004 - 0.000
L9400 --> 2.696
L7900 --> 1.203
L7960 --> 0.979
L8050 --> 1.005
L8000 --> 1.023

Voltages mesured:

pp5v_s0 --> 5.145
pp5v_s0_vccsa --> 5.145
ppbus_hs_cpu --> 13.05

any suggestions?

p.s. Sorry for grammar and spelling mistakes. English is not my native tongue.

CPU could be already damaged by shorted high-side part of U7270.
If not, you fried it yourself injecting voltage without basic check for short like that.
Lot of times mentioned on the forum how to (and how to NOT) inject voltage on PPBUS_G3H...
