820-00239 have a backlight, but no picture.

Hello there !

I have a board 820-00239 which does not seem to have a liquid damage or knocked off components. So what happens is that machine turns on, trackpad is active, i get the LCD backlight but no picture itself, keyboard is inactive. Tried on external display, still no picture. Any ideas what might be, where i could start troubleshooting?, Bios?, Tried to fit different working LCD. Thank you in advance!

Check first if you get USB activity.
Do you get pure white, or black screen?

No liquid sign, but there should be some history fault; dropped machine?

USB ports active, black screen which barely lits up (just like turning on and waiting for apple logo or question mark). Sorry, but do not know past of this board as it was given by my friend whom have no idea what happened.

I don't know what menas that picture.
Do you get an OSX pendrive flashing if connected to USB-C port???
At least check if an USB mouse get steady light...

I'm using usb type c hub for HDMI, usb ports, and that's the only mouse which i own at the moment, and it has steady light while mac is on. Sorry for lack of a equipment, at least got same model donor board just in case.

This board doesn't have dedicated GPU, so no Analog Mux there.
Missing internal/external image at same time, should be iGPU problem; so CPU at the end...

You can try it for test; board seems to be trash anyway...
