the resistance to GND is 0.3 ohms

That is a "perfect" short; luckly low enough to use voltage injection method.
Probably SSD controller (U8600), or a NAND chip; hopeless case...

5A probably is the indication of your PSU.
If is limited at 5A, it doesn't inject anything.
You have a pure short, which requires more than 10A at 1V.

Buy 24V/20A PSU, or 12V/40A (adjustable, of course).

Bench psu question

So im planning to buy bench psu, just normal generic psu with 20v 5a thingy, but this regulated psu say "short protection" if im planning to inject into shorted line, doesnt that mean the psu will not work?

820-3478-A no power

I got a dead 820-3478-A on the bench. Tried new PSU but none of the LEDS light up. Anyone fix any of these here?
