Got this board, water damaged in smc area. Display also wasnt working. Replaced display and U9850 and got image. After that macbook began failing. As i had donor board and there was liquid damage in smc area i changed it too.

Now macbook is not turning on. Tried another SMC and same result. It get's 5.20V and 0.04 Amps on all usb-c ports. PPBUS is 0V. Lifted R6907 and getting 5V on pin 2.


I dont thinkg it's one of ports ic (CD3215) because there is no water damage in that area.

You cannot be completely sure which areas have been affected by liquid.
Check for knoccked off, or moved components in SMC area (even opposite site).
Also check all LDO outputs of CD3215 chips.

Do you get 3V3_G3H and SMC_RESET_L?

p3v3_g3h is ok SMC_RESET_L 3.4V


Cant find anything strange near SMC also other side. LDO Outputs are also ok.

I tried to mount logic board in the macbook and now (with battery connected) it is getting 20V but still 0 A.


I was testing this same board before with same charger (61W) and it was getting 20V even without battery, Also tried with his 87 W charger and it directly block entrance ( No V no Amps.)

This board should work with 87W charger without battery.
I'm not sure if it can start with 61W one, without battery connected.

Dont understand why it blocks my magsafe (ori).

Try another 87W original charger.
Did you try to start with both 61W charger and battery connected?
Also try to start in SMC bypass mode.

tried with other 87W and it is blocking too.

With battery and 61W conector i get 20V instead of 2V (without battery) but 0.00 Amps. Also tried SMC bypass but there is no way
