This arrived with liquid damage on U3100/3200 area. Reflowed evrything with good flux but still stuck at 5V. PP3V3 is present 3.2V

PPBUS_G3H 0V

All LDO voltages are present.

What should be checked next?

Check all resistors in that area.
Don't forget to inspect U2890.

All ports have the same behaviour?
Do you get 1V1 LDO on each chip?

All resistors are good.

U2890 had liquid damage but cleaned it up with fresh solder.

1V1 LDO present on all chips

Test with known good batery, which holds some charge.
Check if USB-C input switch to 20V.
Let see if board tries to start then.

Can a bad CPU prevent it from switching to 20V? this had liquid damage on many CPU mosfets but resistance to ground values were high so replaced all of them before working on the U3100/3200 area

You have battery connected, forget the charger; even you keep it connected too.
The board is powered from battery at this moment.
Check for pulse at the big coils...

With battery connected, check if SMC_ONOFF_L stays high?
If yes, then trigger it (as above described) and check for pulse at PM_RSMRST_L and PM_PWRBTN_L.

SMC_ONOFF_L .405v

PM_RSMRST_L 0v no pulse

PM_PWRBTN_L .225v constant no change when triggering SMC_ONOFF_L

SMC_ONOFF_L now 3.4v after replacing R4911

PM_RSMRST_L .10v constant no change when triggering SMC_ONOFF_L

PM_PWRBTN_L .50v constant no change when triggering SMC_ONOFF_L
